The Role
We are looking for a virtual PMO Program Manager who will be part of the Solera Global Project Management Office (PMO), managing Finance-related projects.The work will primarily entail supporting the financial treatment of projects during the PMO intake process and throughout the lifecycle of software development and IT projects, supporting financial audits, and transitioning new Solera acquisitions to our financial treatment process. The software development projects will be comprised of all aspects of the software development lifecycle in an agile development environment, where the development may span multiple teams, geographic locations, and potentially products.In this role the PMO Program Manager will be responsible for following and further refining the financial treatment process, working across business units with internal PMO sub-teams, Product & Development teams, various Finance teams, Operations teams, as well as others. The PMO Program Manager will provide accurate project status reporting in a timely and consistent manner and will use proven project management techniques and tools to maximize project visibility, transparency, and effective communication with the project stakeholders. It is critical that the PMO Program Manager has strong analytical skills, including the ability to think critically, analyze data, and solve complex problems by bringing the right people together with the right artifacts and discussion topics to collaboratively solve complex problems. These job requirements necessitate an individual with several years of successful hands-on experience in managing projects consisting of varying business needs, technologies, stakeholders, levels of complexity, and problem-solving.
What You’ll Do
Manage the financial treatment process for Technology projects, and manage the integration of new Solera acquisitions to the financial treatment process
Utilize standard processes, tools, and best practices for consistency and reliability of project delivery
Be part of a PMO team that is charged with competency, consistency, precision, and success of project delivery on a global scale across Solera
Be able to speak in a thorough, substantive, and accurate manner about the projects, and serve as an effective point of communication of status, as well as escalation of issues to leadership outside the group as needed
Act as an effective backstop for issue resolution and problem-solving related to the projects, ensuring that escalations to senior leadership are only on rare occasion
Collaborate with other PMO team members and leadership to formulate new processes, refine existing ones, and define and propagate best practices and standard procedures related to project management across Solera
Act as a point of escalation for stakeholders regarding the projects
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in a related field of study
5+ years experience of project, program, and project portfolio management experience, particularly in software and information technology with experience related to project financial treatment, such as capital expenditure
5+ years experience in an agile development environment
5+ years of industry-standard tool usage related to project management and agile development
3+ years experience in a role with analytical responsibilities, such as business and/ or data analysis
PMP Certification preferred; agile methodology certification is a plus
