Job description Wanted: Global Innovators to Help Us Build Tomorrow’s EnterpriseAs a Consultant, you will be a key player in the consulting team that helps discover and define the problem statement, evaluates the solution options and makes recommendations.
You will create detailed design, architecture and process artifacts and implement the deployment plan.
You will also support knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.Location for this position is Oakland, CA.

PreferredAtleast 8 Years experience with Dell/EMC Isilon, CIFS/NFS required.Atleast 8 Years experience with Dell/EMC XtremeIO required.Atleast 8 Years experience with Dell/EMC Avamar and Data Domain required.Atleast 8 Years experience with Dell/EMC RecoverPoint preferred.Atleast 8 Years experience with IBM XIV preferredAtleast 6 years of experience in storage fabric solutions including both Brocade and Cisco technologies.In-depth knowledge on Enterprise Storage (NAS/SAN) solutions with NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, FCP, S3 technologyHands-on experience with enterprise SAN (Storage Area Network) management to include capabilities and technologies such as: Fiber Channel zoning, FCoE (Fiber Channel over Ethernet) unified fabric, HBA/CNA (Host Bus Adapter/Converged Network Adapter), storage controllers, and LUN (Logical Unit Number), RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks), and file sharing / NAS (Network Addressable Storage).Working knowledge on parallel file-system solutionKnowledge of Directory Services like LDAP/NISNetworking fundamentals including switching, routing, firewall, DNS, subnetting,At least 4 years of experience in creating requirement specifications based on Architecture/Design /Detailing of ProcessesAt least 4 years of experience in application-level backups like Oracle/SQL/SAP through DD boost (Power Protect)Should have basic knowledge and experience to manage the online backup modules such as Oracle, MSSQL, SAP, NDMP etc.Experience on Automation using any of Python, Perl, Shell, PHP,HTML, Java Script, JQuery, MYSQL, NOSQL will be preferredAt least 2 years of experience in capturing requirements related to internal/external consulting, documenting, and mapping current business process.Analytical and Communication skills Planning and Co-ordination skillsJob Duties IncludeDocumenting processes, procedures, upgrades and the resolution of problemsUpgrading software, monitoring performance, and evaluating trends and needsManaging, transforming, and providing user access to large datasetsInstalling, configuring, supporting, and maintaining SANs and associated technologyInstalling, configuring, supporting, and maintaining NASs and associated technologyAdministering storage networks, servers and their associated schedulesThe job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.
