Job description

We are seeking an experiencedAutomation Test Engineer with a strong background indesktop application testing and a backend built onOracle .

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of hands-on experience in developing and maintaining test automation frameworks usingTestComplete, WinAppDriver or similar .

In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world.

Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for desktop applications.

Build and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using TestComplete or WinAppDriver.

Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to understand application features and architecture.

Validate backend data integrity through Oracle database queries.

Identify, log, and track defects, and work with developers to ensure timely resolution.

Participate in code reviews, test planning, and strategy discussions.

Required education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

5+ years of experience in test automation fordesktop applications .

Strong expertise inTestComplete orWinAppDriver (at least one required).

Proficient inOracle SQL – ability to write complex queries to validate backend processes.

Good understanding of test design techniques, SDLC, and QA methodologies.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred technical and professional experience

Experience in CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Exposure to defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.

Experience in UI Automation using Selenium , Appium
