About the Role
We are seeking a talented and collaborative Software Engineer II – Python to join our Shadow Health development team in Mexico City.
This position performs moderately difficult research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line.
You will contribute to building and enhancing web services and applications that support healthcare education through simulation-based learning.
Responsibilities
Work with the Tech Lead to solve moderate complexity software engineering problems.Build new features and improve existing ones for our Learning Management System.Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.Review code from other engineers and provide constructive feedback.Complete moderately complex bug fixes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality delivery.Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.Keep abreast of new technology developments.All other duties as assigned.Requirements
3+ years of Software Engineering experience.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.Proficiency in development languages including but not limited to Python, FastAPI, LangGraph, SQL, Docker, AWS, GitHub Actions, UNIX.Proficiency with data manipulation languages and understanding of data modeling principles.Ability to work with complex data models.Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).Knowledge of test-driven development and industry best practices such as code coverage.Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources.Good oral and written communication skills.Work in a Way That Works for You
