Job description

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Specialist - IT Messaging to join our team at Marsh.

This role will be based in Mexico City.

This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.

As an IT Systems Engineer at Marsh, you will provide global operations support for cloud and infrastructure activities, support approved PMO and BAU projects, and resolve incidents via the ticketing system.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent operational support, proactively monitoring and maintaining messaging services for a seamless end-user experience.

  • Provide after-hours support as needed to assist with initiatives or urgent escalations.

  • Provide messaging services, support and troubleshooting for the following:
    • Exchange Subscription Edition (SE) / Exchange Server 2019 and Exchange Online (M365)
    • Mail Routing/SMTP
    • External mail gateways (Proofpoint appliances)
    • DMARC Enforcement
    • Cloud Fax (Core Fax) / RightFax
  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures, policies, and documentation to establish guidelines.

  • Participate in and contribute to the resolution of escalations, incidents, and problems.

  • Assist in developing methods and procedures to enhance operational processes, optimize technology solutions, and improve service level expectations.

  • Lead initiatives and deliver technical solutions aimed at projects and reducing the volume and resolution time of assigned incidents.

  • Contribute to detailed project plans across multiple work streams, ensuring standards, processes, and timelines are followed.

What you need to have

  • Proven experience working in a Microsoft-centric, global enterprise messaging environment.

  • Core knowledge of Exchange Online (M365), Exchange On-Premises Server SE/2019, Email Gateways, preferably Proofpoint.

  • Experience working with ticketing systems, preferably ServiceNow.

  • Comprehensive experience with PowerShell scripting.

  • Working knowledge of MS Entra ID, Active Directory, Directory Services, and network protocols.

  • Extensive experience implementing and supporting messaging solutions such as Exchange Migration to Exchange Online (M365), Email Gateway mail routing/SMTP, DMARC, Core Fax.

  • Ability to proactively identify problem areas and recommend effective solutions.

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.

  • Effective communication with internal and external customers, including senior organizational leaders.

  • Advanced level of English is a must.
