Your role

As a Software Developer for Upstream Solutions, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative web applications that solve complex challenges in the energy sector.

You'll design and implement cloud-ready solutions while continuously evolving your technical expertise in a collaborative environment.

In this role you will play a key role in:

Solution Development & Implementation

• Collaborate with engineers, geoscientists, and data managers to define and deliver solutions for upstream business challenges
• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-ready and cloud-native web applications with robust frontend and backend components
• Implement REST APIs and data access layers for both SQL and NoSQL databases

Technical Innovation & Best Practices

• Apply software engineering best practices including OOAD, SOLID principles, and automated testing
• Develop solutions using modern web frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, or ASP.NET MVC
• Create and optimize reporting solutions using SQL and SQL Server Reporting Services

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with domain experts to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in Agile development processes and user-centered design methodologies
• Share knowledge and best practices with team members to foster continuous improvement

Application Lifecycle Management

• Implement, test, deploy, and support applications across their full lifecycle
• Ensure application performance, security, and scalability in both on-premise and cloud environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to maintain system reliability

Your profile

• Conversational English skills (B2, C1, C2)
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related
• 5+ years of experience developing web-based applications across frontend, business logic, and data layers, with proficiency in C#/.NET and/or Python.
  
  
• Extensive experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React, Angular, or ASP.NET MVC, plus strong understanding of REST architectural principles.
  
  
• Experience building data models and data access layers for SQL/NoSQL databases, and developing reporting solutions using SQL and SSRS.
  
  
• Strong grasp of code quality principles (OOAD, SOLID) and automated testing methodologies to ensure maintainable, scalable applications.
  
  
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP) and on-premise deployment (Windows Server, IIS) is highly desirable.
  
  
• Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with both technical teams and domain experts in a collaborative environment.
