RPG (SQL) DEVELOPER
We are looking for a RPG (SQL) DEVELOPER to join our team at Zurich Capability Center.
Job Description
- Acts in the highest-level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives.
- Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs.
- Works on the most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors.
- Plans, performs, and acts as the escalation point for the most complex platform designs, coding, and testing.
- Leads most complex multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts.
- Acts as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process.
- Analyzes business requirements, then designs, creates and maintains applications using RPG IV on IBM AS400 platform.
- Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written, coded, tested, debugged, and documented.
- Utilizes technology to solve problems and provide software solutions with varying degrees of complexity.
- Works directly with department users to innovate and improve operations & processes.
- Drives to completion all phases of application development.
Basic Qualifications
- Advanced English Level.
- 4 years of professional experience with application development - using RPG IV, ILE RPG, and CL on AS/400.
- 4+ years of extensive SQL knowledge, including writing scripts and stored procedures.
- Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Independently motivated, detail-oriented, and able to maintain focus on long-term projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences of various levels within the company.
- Proven problem-solving and time management skills.
- Results-oriented; demonstrated sense of urgency and commitment to achieve efficient and accurate results.
- Committed to the highest levels of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
