Job description

Our client is a well-established financing provider for small and medium-sized businesses, operating both as a direct lender and a trusted marketplace with a network of lending partners.

Their mission is to make financing faster, easier, and more accessible for business owners.

Project Description

You will be instrumental in the design and implementation of backend services focused on automating Fintech processes.

This includes integrating with external partners to automate workflows such as pre-qualifying customers for loans.

The project uses AWS serverless architecture, and you will work closely with both developers and stakeholders within an Agile team environment.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in technical design sessions to define and document scalable backend solutions;
  • Design and develop RESTful and event-based microservices using AWS serverless tools (Lambda, EventBridge, DynamoDB, etc.);
  • Integrate backend services with internal systems and external Fintech partners;
  • Support SaaS/Cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to provide consultative technical input;
  • Write, deploy, and manage infrastructure using CloudFormation Templates (CFTs);
  • Maintain and support legacy systems while transitioning to a modern backend architecture;
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership;
  • Contribute to a culture of open communication, agile collaboration, and continuous improvement;

Job Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js and/or Python in production environments;
  • Strong experience designing and implementing REST and event-based services using AWS tools (Lambda, EventBridge, API Gateway, IAM, etc.);
  • Proven experience working with SaaS/Cloud-based systems and developing integration functionality;
  • Proficiency in AWS services: Lambda, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, EC2, STS, IAM;
  • Experience with CloudFormation Templates (CFTs) for infrastructure deployment;
  • Strong understanding of RDS (both relational and non-relational databases);
  • Background in API development and deployment best practices;
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;
  • Experience in Agile/SCRUM environments;
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (B2+ level);

Nice To Have

  • Experience in lending or financial services;
  • AWS Solutions Architect or Developer Certification;
  • Familiarity with SAFE, Test-Driven Development, and Agile frameworks;
  • Experience communicating with business users, technical teams, and management regarding technical design and product strategy;
