Overview
Microsoft .NET Manager is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of .NET-based software applications and systems, often leading a team of developers and working with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
They play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, security, and scalability of the software, while also managing project timelines and resources.
Responsibilities
- Managing a team of .NET developers (onshore, near shore and offshore), providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Working with Product Manager, stakeholders (US-based) for requirements and roadmap discussion.
- Working with other IT counterparts like PGR, SFMC and other Services like Rx, grooming and training.
- Defining the technical vision and architecture for .NET projects, ensuring alignment with best practices and company standards.
- Conducting code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
- Guiding and mentoring junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Evaluating and recommending new tools, frameworks, and processes to enhance development efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues, collaborating with team members and stakeholders to find solutions.
- Ensuring the security and scalability of .NET applications, considering factors like performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Qualifications
- Experience in Retails industry preferred.
- Strong experience across .NET Development, C#
- Strong experience with the Microsoft Azure platform in deploying application.
- A good working knowledge of ASP.Net and Web API (Full Framework and .Net)
- Knowledge of serverless computing (AWS / Azure)
- Knowledge of database development, SQL Server with Entity Framework, PostgreSQL, MySQL
- Strong knowledge of SignalR.
- Exposure to an Agile and Kanban Development Methodology, Azure DevOps.
Other desirable skills include: - System and data conversions
- Atlassian Suite knowledge (Jira in particular)

Experience
- Experience in Retails industry preferred.
- Hands on Experience is a must
- 5-6 years of experience in managing .NET Teams
- 8 + years of experience in building enterprise application leveraging .net technology.
