**Your role and responsibilities**
As an associate level Test Specialist at IBM, your technical skills will directly impact the quality of the software we create, and your recommendations and findings will help us make sure we're delivering the best of the best.

Whether the testing is manual, automated, or cognitive, you hold a key role in releasing the best deliverables to our clients and IBM alike.
In your role you may be responsible for:
Building automated tests using tools such as Selenium, Protractor, Katalon, Cucumber, etc.
Create test data and test environments
Write and execute test scripts under the direction of a senior tester and test lead and identify errors and validate successes for any software solution
Identify, understand, and document all programming errors and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specification goals for the given program, application or set of applications
Do a deep-dive and present test results to clients and project teams clearly
**Required technical and professional expertise**
* Basic Understanding of Software Testing Processes
Core knowledge of testing principles and lifecycle.
* Introductory Development Background
Helps in understanding code behavior and debugging.
* Familiarity with Cloud Computing Concepts
Important for working in hybrid cloud environments.
* Ability to Work in Agile Environments
Essential for iterative development and testing cycles.
* Advanced Communication Skills (English)
Crucial for collaborating across global teams.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
* Exposure to basic AI concepts, ethics, and methodologies
* Experience with functional/non-functional test case design and execution
* Familiarity with tools like Confluence, JIRA, Selenium
* Exposure to Test Data Management and Performance Testing Tools
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, Google Cloud)
* Familiarity with API, ETL, and SQL testing
* Exposure to data quality analysis
* Understanding of basic data science concepts
