Overview
Performs multiple duties in processing invoices, maintaining billing records, and ensuring customer complaints are handled professionally and timely.
Researches, resolves, and answers customer inquiries on service failures and billing problems applying customer relations policies.
Monitors that batches of airway bills are manifested and that duty and tax paperwork are submitted for invoicing in a timely manner.
Issues credits/debits to customer accounts as warranted.
Assigns and updates accounts numbers in CHEERS.
Maintains management and related departments updated on new, crucial, and recurring problems.
Presents alternatives.
Verifies accuracy of customer invoices and mails them out.
Keeps accurate, organized, and updated records of invoice registers, duties and taxes, airway bills, customer files, and all other related paperwork.
Prepares cash receipts and bank deposits.
Responsibilities
- Process invoices and maintain billing records accurately and timely.
- Handle customer inquiries related to service failures and billing problems per customer relations policies.
- Verify accuracy of customer invoices and mail them to customers.
- Monitor airway bills manifests and ensure duty and tax paperwork are submitted for invoicing.
- Issue credits/debits to customer accounts as warranted.
- Assign and update account numbers in CHEERS; keep management and related departments informed of new, crucial, and recurring problems.
- Provide alternatives and collaborate with other departments as needed.
- Maintain organized records of invoice registers, duties and taxes, airway bills, customer files, and related paperwork.
- Prepare cash receipts and bank deposits.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent; Two (2) years of college in Accounting or Business preferred.
- One (1) year as a FedEx Billing Clerk (preferred).
- Four (4) years of experience in Billing or Accounts Receivable with excellent customer service and communications skills (oral and written).
- Clear and articulate speaking voice.
Light typing (approximately 35 WPM) and experience operating a CRT.
Word-processing and spreadsheet experience required.
- English: TOEIC 450 points (minimum).
