EPAM Mexico is seeking a seasoned professional in Java Development who is dedicated to driving innovation and enabling business transformation for both our clients and our organization.

We need a skilled engineer capable of delivering impactful solutions that enhance our status as a reliable partner and a leader in the global technology arena.

To excel in this role, you should possess leadership abilities to inspire a team of engineers, foster technical excellence, and consistently deliver top-tier solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to your team by recruiting, mentoring, and advancing their career development.
  
  Offer constructive feedback, address conflicts, and ensure team cohesion, aligning their activities with organizational goals to establish a collaborative and high-performing environment
• Facilitate AI integration by aligning with strategic objectives, nurturing innovation, and enabling team growth while managing infrastructure scalability and ethical considerations
• Define and establish software development processes, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and a strong technical foundation tailored to project needs
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies, tools, and advancements in the Java ecosystem and apply relevant innovations to enhance project performance or efficiency
• Actively contribute to resolving critical technical challenges during SWAT events, stepping in to minimize disruptions and ensure effective resolutions
• Develop and maintain deep knowledge of the Java technology stack and its evolving frameworks and tools
• Enhance skills through participation in courses, certifications, or technical training programs
• Communicate and advocate for technical solutions to customers and stakeholders while proposing alternative approaches to achieve objectives with confidence

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java development, including performing code reviews, optimizing technology solutions, and effectively resolving issues
• Background in creating Cloud environments and designing scalable infrastructure on AWS while ensuring reliability across solutions
• Understanding of business objectives and ability to engage meaningfully with stakeholders; analyze and prioritize architectural requirements and apply the Java technology stack to meet project demands for small to mid-sized initiatives
• Capability to embed Engineering Excellence (EngX) practices into development workflows, fostering a culture of engineering quality within the team
• Competency to track, measure, present, and manage development progress, ensuring alignment with business goals
• Proven track record of managing distributed teams and coordinating cross-regional collaboration seamlessly
• Expertise in leading and motivating teams toward achieving ambitious goals
• Strong communication skills with demonstrated success in building trust with stakeholders
