Overview
IT Oracle Planning Cloud Solution Engineer – Senior at Cummins Inc., located in Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
The role provides comprehensive application functionality, configuration and support expertise for Oracle Planning Cloud solutions, working with process owners, business analysts, systems analysts, architects, and vendors to meet functional requirements and deliver value.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyzes and evaluates application functionality and provides recommendations to increase utilization of standard application functionality to improve business processes and capabilities.
- Determines and documents optimum application setup and configuration to meet functional requirements and specifications; configures and verifies application setup and configuration.
- Develops expertise in emerging application and solution trends; provides functional recommendations for assigned applications and systems.
- Conducts analysis of potential application solutions, identifies and recommends solutions to address functionality gaps.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with relevant vendors; collaborates with vendors to improve application functionality and resolve issues.
Partners with process owners, business analysts, systems analysts and architects to gather, document and review functional, architecture and technical requirements and define application functional designs.
- Serves as subject matter expert and point of contact on content, processes, procedures and functionality associated with assigned applications for projects and application support (as needed).
- Creates and manages functional specifications for a given project from which programs and configurations will be applied to create the program, application, or complete solution.
Requirements
- 7 or more years of system analysis and design experience is required, including creation of functional requirements for enterprise-level business application solutions involving multi-tier client/server, database, or web-based applications.
- 5+ years of experience in Oracle Planning Cloud implementations (specifically Supply Planning; demand and sales & operating planning knowledge is beneficial).
- Evaluates Oracle Supply Planning Cloud application functionality and provides solution recommendations to improve business processes and deliver value to Cummins.
- Partners with process owners, stakeholders and enterprise architects to gather, document and review functional, architecture and technical requirements.
- Define optimum application setup, high-level and detailed technical solution designs.
- Configure and verify Oracle Planning Cloud to meet functional Supply Planning requirements and specifications.
- Design and oversee development of integration customizations, workflows, and extensions.
- Serves as subject matter expert and point of contact on Oracle Planning Cloud content, processes, procedures and functionality.
- Certification in Oracle Planning & Collaboration Implementation Cloud is mandatory; certification in Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning is highly beneficial.
- Experience in the full software development lifecycle; experience delivering solutions via AGILE methodologies is preferred.
- Functional domain knowledge should include supply planning software applications along with technical domain knowledge.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required.
