Job purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for dynamic, results driven individual to join as a Controls Engineer to develop, support, and optimize control systems in existing manufacturing and testing processes, as well as in new projects, to ensure the achievement of organizational objectives and the proposal of process and equipment improvements.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the software required for control equipment.

  • Maintain proper backups of programs used in control systems.

  • Coordinate with the Manufacturing Engineering department to optimize control and safety systems.

  • Participate in both corrective and preventive actions in response to maintenance-related issues.

  • Conduct statistical studies and production line analysis to detect failures and reflect improvement results.

  • Update control systems in production equipment.

  • Verify compliance with defined production process steps through system logic.

  • Ensure control equipment remains up to date.

  • Perform annual backups of control systems.

What we’re looking for

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Schooling : Bachelor’s degree in industrial Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, or related.

  • Experience Time in similar position : 2 years or more in a similar position.

  • Technical knowledge required : Manufacturing processes, quality systems, automation, industrial electronics, basic hydraulics and pneumatics, statistical process control.

  • Other requirements : Microsoft Office.
