Job Description

Position Overview: We are looking for a Backend Developer with Ruby on Rails 8 to work on our modern monolithic architecture and evolve the product, which has been migrated from Bubble.io.

This role focuses on building complex business logic, designing efficient endpoints for mobile apps (React Native), and collaborating on technical decisions affecting reservations, discounts, admin panels, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new key features, such as:
• Reservation extension and prolongation system
• Coupon and promotional campaign engine
• Bulk registration and management of cars for fleets
• Internal administrative modules (admin panel)
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs for mobile apps (React Native) and web frontend
• Resolve critical production bugs (payments, reservations, validations)
• Participate in architecture, refactoring, and modularization decisions within the monolith
• Write unit and integration tests with RSpec for critical business logic
• Document flows, endpoints, and expected behavior to maintain a robust codebase
• Collaborate with frontend and mobile teams to ensure clean integration

Required Qualifications:

• 2 to 5 years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails
• Design and implementation of RESTful APIs
• Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL and complex relationship modeling
• Proficiency with RSpec for unit and integration testing
• Familiarity with background jobs using Sidekiq + Redis/Solid Queue
• Good design practices in decoupled monolithic architectures
• Experience in Dockerized environments and deployments on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3)
• Proficient use of Git/GitHub, branch management, and code reviews

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with B2C products, marketplaces, or mobility startups
• Experience with React Native apps or endpoints consumed by mobile apps
• Knowledge of advanced Rails patterns (Service Objects, Decorators, Interactors)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring/logging tools (Sentry, New Relic)
• Knowledge of Turbo Streams, Turbo Frames, and Stimulus for real-time interactions
• Experience with staging and production environments (deploys, debugging, logs, rollbacks, post-deploy verification)
