**Your role and responsibilities**
As a backend developer intern you will be responsible for implementing new features, optimizing, and maintaining existing code, ensuring the software meets high-quality standards through testing and debugging focused on IBM Storage Tape products.

You will also work closely with other developers, designers, and testers to ensure the software meets the requirements and is high quality.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
* Interest on backend software development and willingness to learn about high end storage products
* Academic or demonstrated experience developing software or support to software applications
* Knowledge in Bash, Python or REST APIs
* Knowledge in Linux operating system including being comfortable using the command line interface
* Effective verbal and written communication skills, team oriented
* Intermediate-advanced english level
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
Desirable to have experience in storage concepts such as methods (file, block and object), storage solutions such as S3 or Ceph, devices and hardware such as Tape, SSD or HDD technologies.
